Dr. Jayanto Shekhar Guha, a senior vitreoretinal surgeon practicing for almost three decades, has made some pioneering contributions to the system of vitreo-retina care delivery in the urban and semi-urban communities in North India.
Credited with setting up Vitreo-retina surgery centres in collaboration with anterior segment colleagues in functioning eye-care centres across the northern belt of India, spanning from Srinagar in the state of Jammu & Kashmir to Siliguri in West Bengal, covering places like Pathankot, Amritsar, Ambala, Gurugram, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Chandausi, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, etc., where self-sustainable systems in vitreo-retina care have been laid down to maintain continuity of services.
He is also invited to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Dushanbe (Tajikistan) for advanced and specialized vitreo-retina surgeries.
