Assoc. Prof. Hristina Blagoeva PhD with over 25 years length of service in ophthalmology.

After defending a dissertation in “Pseudoexpholiative glaucoma” she was hired as a Senior ophtalmologist in Eye Hospital “Pashev”. Then she went to University Hospital “Tsaritsa Yoanna” as a Senior assistant and head of eye emergency team. After that she moved to University Hospital “St. Sofia” and was the Head of the Eye Department.

At the moment she is the Head of Eye Hospital and Medical Centre “Lux Optics” and Assoc. Prof. in Sofia University “St. Climent Ohridsky” since 2016.

She has completed over 40 qualification courses in multiple countries such as Great Britain, France, Denmark, Austria, Greece, India and much more.

Participated in over 15 clinical trials and scientific projects, is an author of 2 monographs, has published over 50 publications in specialized literature and with more than 100 reports in different forums which have been presented in Bulgaria and other countries.

Lecturer in postgraduate qualification courses, coaches students and residents, is director of the PhD students and editor of scientific publishers.

Organisator of scientific events in Bulgaria and other countries, is a member of expert and professional committees and is a consultant in various pharmaceutical companies.

Her interest is diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, medical and surgical retina, cataract.
