Dr. K.H. Hilmi Or practiced as a board-certified ophthalmologist in Istanbul from 1992 to 2019 and has since continued his clinical and academic work in Germany. His ophthalmological research focuses on optics, refraction, contact lenses, low vision, visual rehabilitation, artificial vision, cataract surgery, glaucoma, medical retina and AI applications in ophthalmology. His interdisciplinary scientific work combines his knowledge and experience in light, colour, visual perception, illumination, photography, visual communication, forensic medicine, medical ethics and genetics with ophthalmology.
