Christina Oikonomou

Dr. Christina Oikonomou, Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the Ophthalmos Research and Educational Institute in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Dr Christina Oikonomou obtained her medical degree from the University of Messina in Italy in 2005 and subsequently completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University Hospital G. Martino in 2011. In 2012, she accepted a position at the Ophthalmos Clinic where she works ever since.
Her primary focus is on the medical and surgical management of retinal pathologies. Furthermore, she is dedicated to mentoring early-career colleagues in the operating room, providing them with invaluable support as they embark on their professional journeys.
