I. Panidou

Born and resident of Thessaloniki.

Graduated from Medical School of Aristotelio University Of Thessaloniki-Greece.

Doctorate at the same University.

Trained in Ophthalmology in Ippokrateio Hospital, Thessaloniki –Greece. After her training in ophthalmology she stayed for 3 years as a contributor in Ippokrateio Hospital.

Fellowship in medical retina in the eye clinic of Univercity Hospital of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and in Eye Clinic of  San Domenico Hospital.

From 1987 she worked in General Hospital of Thessaloniki ‘G. Papanikolaou’ where she remains until now as director.

She is performing Cataract Surgery, Corneal Transplantation, Vitreoretinal Surgery, Small Gauge Vitrectomy, Retinal Detachment and Trauma.

Special Secretary of Ophthalmological Society of Northern Greece (O.E.B.E.) for two years and member of the council for other two.

Membership: Ophthalmological Society of Northern Greece, Hellenic Ophthalmology Society, Greek Vitreoretinal Society (GVRS), HSIOIRS,  European VitreoRetinal Society (EVRS), ESCRS, GGS, American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
