Project Description

Dr Georgios Charitoudis is an ophthalmic surgeon, specialized in ocular oncology. He is a graduate of the medical school of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his core Ophthalmology training and completed his Ph.D -with the topic “Circulating tumor cells in the bloodstream of patients with uveal melanoma before and after treatment and risk of metastasis” – at the ophthalmological clinic of Charité, University of Medicine, Campus Benjamin Franklin, in Berlin. Dr Charitoudis has gained a broad clinical background at the clinic “Augenärzte am Aegi“ in Hannover, Germany. He is also certified by the European council of ophthalmology (Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology, FEBO). He is currently working as ophthalmic surgeon in Thessaloniki, Greece.
